The PubLive Dashboard allows you to create template pages for various purposes, such as announcements, newsletters, FAQs, events, and more. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a custom page using the HTML Source Code Editor, available under View > Source Code.
Steps to Create a Template Page:
Step 1: Log in to the PubLive Dashboard
- Open your browser and go to the PubLive Dashboard.
- Enter your login credentials and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Navigate to the Custom Content Section
- Navigate to Posts -> Custom Content -> Click on the “+” -> Template page.
- This will open a new editor where you can build your page.
Step 3: Steps to Open the HTML Source Code Editor
- In the new Template Page Editor, navigate to the Content Section -> View.
- Select Source Code to open the HTML Source Code Editor modal.
Below is the sample custom FAQ page built using the HTML source code editor in the PubLive dashboard.
Step 4: Paste Your Custom HTML Code
- Prepare the HTML code for your custom page.
- Paste it into the Source Code Editor.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Step 5: Preview Your Template Page
- After saving, the visual representation of your page will update in the editor.
- Review the design to ensure all elements appear correctly.
Step 6: Advanced Properties Explained:
- Access Level: Use this field to specify if the articles/posts is for logged-in users or public access.
- Custom Date: Use this field for backdating purposes.
- Select Schema: Choose a schema for the article.
- Canonical URL: Provide the canonical URL for this content.
- Meta Title: The main title displayed in search engine results.
- OG Title: The title used when your content is shared on social media.
- OG Description: A brief summary shown when your content is shared on social media.
- Twitter Title: The title specifically for Twitter shares.
- Twitter Description: A brief description for Twitter shares.
- Meta Keywords: These keywords provide information about a web page's content to search engines.
- Meta News Keywords: Specifically used by Google News publishers to define keywords relevant to their articles.
- Code Injection Head: Include custom code to be injected into the head section of your web pages.
- Custom Style Injection: Apply custom CSS styles to your posts.
Note:
- The Advanced Properties section is accessible exclusively to Admin & Owners to ensure security and prevent unauthorized modifications. Other users cannot view or edit this section.
- Monitor Warnings and keep track of your SEO score,following the recommendations for fixes.
The recommended SEO score should be (90+) for SEO purpose.
Step 7: Publish and Use the Template Page
- Once satisfied with the design, click Publish.
- Utilize it for your desired purpose, such as:
- Static pages
- Announcements
- Newsletters
- Event details
- FAQ sections
- You can reuse or modify the page for future needs.
To make the custom page easily accessible, you can:
- Add it to the Footer – Link it under sections like "Resources" or "Support."
- Include it in the Navbar – Display it in the main navigation for quick access.
- Share the Link – Use it in emails, social media, or internal communications.

- Use Clean and Structured HTML: Well-formatted code improves readability and maintenance.
- Separate Styling and Scripts: Keep CSS and JavaScript in the Advanced section for better organization.
- Optimize for Performance: Use compressed images and minimize unnecessary scripts.
